During the last few months of 2008 and the first few months of 2009, Cafe Colore launched an aggressive marketing campaign with a large bill board on RT 9 and an email marketing campaign that has successfully brought in new and former diners to find out what is happening at this BYOB long time Freehold restaurant. So what is all the hype about? The upside to Cafe Colore is that they are attractively priced and offer the best value in fine dining in the Monmouth County area with service that is very friendly, attentive, and leaves you with the feeling that they really appreciate your business. The food is comparable to many of the other barely above average Italian restaurants in the Freehold area, except that for those sustainable agriculture and natural food enthusiasts, they offer several selections of Bell & Evans poultry dishes. On the downside, on Saturday evenings the noise level can be very high. They are located in a strip mall with the interior decor that has been recently been updated with softer, creme colored walls, dark wood trim, and candle lit tables spaced nicely apart. The menu has a good variety of appetizers and entree's. The popular favorites include the Lobster Ravioli, The Orange Roughy en Cartuccio, and The Wild West Rib eye. They also off an "Economy Proof Menu" for $39 person, all inclusive, with your choice of any appetizer, soup or salad, dinner, dessert, and coffee or tea. Additional charges may apply for some entree items. They are family and child friendly, with a special kids menu. |
