The Chapter House is a popular neighborhood place to meet up with friends for drinks and tavern food, or for an inexpensive night out with the family for dinner.
The building and interior has a rustic feel to it with wood paneled walls adorned with fraternity banners and other amusing posters. There are two large dining areas with the main room having high ceilings with tables spaced comfortably apart. There is a lively full service bar with large TV screens and a grill in the center, and additional table seating for dining.
They have a large seasonally changing menu with affordably priced burgers, sandwiches, pastas, seafood, and steak dishes.
The food is average Tavern food quality, found in many Howell, Freehold area taverns.
Service can be slow, especially during the busy evening and weekend times.
The restaurant is family friendly with a good children's menu that seats families in the main dining room.
The Chapter House can accommodate private parties in their 40 seat banquet room.
Value priced meals are offered during the week:
Sunday Prime Rib Night, Monday Fajitas, Tuesday Steak & Shrimp, Wednesday Parmigiana, and Thursday is Seafood Fest
The the warmer months there is outside dining on the deck.
The Chapter House has ample on-site parking in the rear of the building.
They are open Seven days/week, Monday through Saturday from 11:00- 1:00 am and Sundays from 12:00 to 1:00 am.
