Restaurant Review

Aarzu is one the best Indian restaurants in Central New Jersey. This "Modern Indian Bistro" is the go-to spot for a well-executed menu where the flavors, seasonings, and artful presentation of dishes are sure to please.

The setting is attractively done-up in contemporary style deco, with the main dining area having a mix of semi-circular booths, and conventional seating tables set with attractive dinnerware, with a view of main street thru large door windows. The ambiance is enhanced by attractive colors, and artwork by artist Chetna Singh adorning the walls.

This modern Indian bistro is the perfect spot for a night out, with an exceptional upscale dining experience.

Aarzu is managed by founder Kamal Arora, managing partner Archana Sharma, Executive chef Shravan Shetty, and chef Dayanand Shetty (no relationship),

Early in his career, Executive Chef Sharvan Shetty worked at the luxurious Taj Exotica Hotel & Resort in Goa, India, before arriving in the U. S where he worked in the banquet kitchen at The Hilton in Philadelphia, followed by Delmonico Steakhouse and the Polo Lounge. Prior to coming to Aarzu, he worked in Urban Spice, one of the Arora Hospitality Group's restaurants in Edison.

Executive Chef Sharvan Shetty oversees a well-executed, artfully presented menu using fresh ingredients, prepared with a minimum of heavy sauces to allow the quality ingredients shine through. Unlike many Indian restaurants that feature "spicy hot" dishes, Aarzu offers many selections that are not spicey hot, or just mildly spicey.

The menu includes Vegetarian Friendly, Vegan Options, and Gluten Free Options,

There is also a private room available for private parties, and a patio in the back that will make for great warm-weather dining.

The management team at Aarzu is socially responsible having given back to the community by often donating to the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Aarzu is open six days/week (closed on Tuesday) for Dinner.
