The kitchen and the menu is the creation of innovative Executive Chef Michael d'Ennery, a southern gentlemen raised in New Orleans and spent time in Charleston, and later in Southern California. He is a graduate of the Johnson & Wales Culinary School and was formerly the Executive Chef at Trinity Restaurant. His seasonal menu is new American and uses local ingredients from local and regional farmers and food purveyors. The atmosphere is romantic trendy and elegantly decorated with large mirrored walls and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the dunes and the ocean. The Atlantic Bar & Grill sits on the beach about 100 yards from the ocean. The best view is to sit high up in the bar area to oversee the large dunes, or if you are fortunate enough to get seated along the eastern edge of the dining room. They offer a seasonally changing menu. When available; the recommended the recommended dinner entrees are; Sauteed Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Roasted North Atlantic Lobster Tails, and the Hen of the Woods. The service at the Atlantic Bar and Grill is professional, well trained, friendly, and attentive During the peak summer months, patrons can expect extremely long waits and often vent their frustrations on the hostesses who have managed to handle it well. Although some of our viewers have reported that the manager is less successful and abrupt in dealing with overbooking and long wait issues. Our restaurant ratings and reviews take into account a wider audience and are the result of a compilation of many sources. Learn more about the process we use to rate New Jersey restaurants. |
