Value priced Menu offers a large variety of specials and standard items served in generous portions On busy weekend evenings its very noisy and loud, not recommended for a cozy, romantic dinner. |
Located in a strip mall in Edison, Loucas is a sister restaurant to Ponte Vecchio in Old Bridge, and Fresco in Milltown and is a very popular BYOB that serves up generous portions of good Italian food at a reasonable price.
Chefs Loucas Sofocli and Alex Charlambous have teamed up to offer Italian food that is a cut above most of the other mediocre Italian restaurants in the area.
Housed on two levels, the decor is attractive with seating for over 200 diners spread out over 5 different sized dining areas.
They offer a very large variety of daily specials presented on a chalkboard.
When available, the recommended appetizers are: The Grilled Gulf Shrimp; The Cajun Calamari; and the Marinated Seafood Salad from the raw bar.
When available, the recommended dinner entrees are; The Grilled Baby Lamb Chops; The Tuscan Style Grilled Swordfish; and the Ravioli of the Day.
Reservations are a must as they fill up quickly on weekend evenings.
They are Child and family friendly and offer a good kids menu.
They can accommodate large parties of up to 120 for special occasions.
