Restaurant Highlights

Cafe 37 is one of the top fine dining BYOB restaurants in Ridgewood.

Owned and operated by New Jersey native Chef César Sotomayor who honed his culinary skills at two other top Ridgewood restaurants, Latour and Village Green prior to opening Cafe 37 in 2012.

Chef Sotomayor is skilled in French cuisine and adept at presenting a creative new American menu with a French influence.
The seasonal menu serves dishes that are attractively presented using farm-fresh and organic fruits and vegetables, fresh seafood and quality meats. While you're not apt to experience any dishes that will leave an unbeatable and lasting memory, nonetheless, his food preparation is consistently excellent and will leave you wanting to return.

The restaurant is located in a small storefront. The interior dining room is warmly appointed with seating for 50 in a square shaped room.

The lighting is soft with walls adorned by a large wooden mirror and several abstract, pastel paintings. Tables are spaced relatively close and set with white table linens and attractive wine glasses, Dark brown faux-leather chairs complement the arrangement.

The wait staff is friendly and attentive, though somewhat short on being smooth when compared to the food quality and the overall upscale ambiance of the restaurant.

There is outdoor seating for 20 during the warmer months, though some of the tables can be uncomfortably close to the road and parked cars.

Cafe 37 is not recommended for children.
