Piccola Italia is a hidden gem located in Ocean Township’s Cobblestone Village shopping center. Chef/owner Brian Gualtieri received his formal training at the Culinary Institute of America and honed his skills at a number of impressive restaurants including; San Francisco's One Market Restaurant, the former Mumford's in Long Branch, and the New York City restaurants Chanterelle and Montrachet. He does an outstanding job of preparing creative dishes, fusing fresh Mediterranean flavors with the traditional regional styles of Italian classics. He uses fresh produce, homemade bacon, cheese, pasta, and desserts. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and upscale with soft earth tones and walls adorned with mirrored picture frames and murals. They also stocked bar and a wine list that offers a good selection of reasonable priced domestic and international wines. When available, the popular dinner starters are: The Lobster Bisque; or the Antipasto Per Due; or the Quaglia alla Griglia con Ficoa. When available, the popular dinner entrees are: Tagliatelle con Frutti di Mare: or the Vitello alla Griglia del Peperone
with Grilled Rack of Milk Fed Veal: or the Due Per Manzo alla Fiorentina, a Duet of Short Ribs, Grilled Boneless Snake River Farms Kobe Short Rib. Service at Piccola Italia is well trained...... professional, friendly and anticipatory.
