The River Market is a small cozy BYOB restaurant with a well prepared new American menu and trendy chic ambiance.
Owned by husband and wife team Chef John and Lee Malcolm, formerly the owners of the River Market in Toms River.
Both Chef John and Lee received their formal training at the Culinary Institute of America. Chef John later honed his culinary skills at the Lark Creek Inn, Larkspur, CA and as Executive Chef at the famed Azul La Jolla in San Diego, CA
Not surprisingly, Chef Malcom has transported his west coast culinary skills to create an inspiring new American menu with a coastal California influence using fresh, farm to table locally sourced produce.
The River Market offers a seasonally changing, seafood focused menu with daily specials.
The small twelve table 40 seat dining area has a trendy, NYC style industrial chic ambiance. Attractively done up with exposed brick walls, a high vaulted ceiling with knotty pine beams, and large windows, and walls adorned with local artwork and photos.
Service is friendly. attentive, and knowledgeable.
The River Market is open for dinner Tuesday - Sunday @ 5pm, and for Lunch Tuesday - Friday; 11am - 2:30 pm.
