Planning a vacation, a weekend getaway, or even a day trip to an event for several hours can be fun. With so much to see and do in NJ, and so much to choose from, it can also be an overwhelming task.

The Jersey Shore
The 127 mile coast line from Sandy Hook to Cape May called the "Jersey Shore" has some of the best beaches along the Atlantic Cost and is a great spring, summer, and fall destination for families with kids and couples looking for a weekend getaway.
Some of the are best kept secrets of the Jersey Shore include its beaches, boardwalks, amusement piers, fishing, light houses, surfing, bed and breakfasts, quaint Victorian towns, and great restaurants with good food and awesome waterfront views.
The most popular Jersey Shore destinations include Long Branch, Asbury Park, Belmar, Point Pleasant Beach, Seaside Heights, Long Beach Island, Atlantic City, Ocean City, The Wildwoods, and Cape May.
The North West Skylands
Head north west to the New Jersey Skylands region beginning in southern Hunterdon County and running north to Sussex county bordering on Pennsylvania and New York State.
This region is very popular for weekend getaways where you will 
discover antiquing, historic villages, museums, canoeing, vineyards, and scenic drives along the river, rolling hills, and farms . Experience the charming towns along the Delaware River including Lambertville, Frenchtown, Milford, and the Delaware Water Gap. Further inland from the river are the charming towns of Clinton, Morristown, and Newton.
The North East Urban Areas
The north east urban areas beginning in the south with New Brunswick and running north to Jersey City, Newark, Hoboken, Montclair, Paterson, and Paramus have an unbelievable variety of world class entertainment, arts, culture, scenic skyline views, and restaurants.
New Brunswick, home to Rutgers University, is a town with many fine restaurants and playhouses.
Jersey city is a vibrant city with many small ethnic neighborhoods is a mecca of cultural and learning attractions with museums and an acclaimed science learning center, and some awesome, scenic harbor views overlooking the New York City Skyline.
Newark just west of New York City is home to The New Jersey Performing Arts Center, The Prudential Center, The Newark Museum, and the many affordable priced ethnic Portuguese restaurants offers visitors plenty of exciting entertainment and dining options
