Frankie Fed's is a BYOB restaurant owned and operated by family members of the landmark Federici's Pizzeria restaurant in Freehold, long known for their thin crusted pizza.
The original Frankie Fed's opened for business in Circa 2000, by Frankie and Mary Lynn Federici, and after 25 five years, transferred the operation to the current owner, their nephew Chef Matt Federici.
The Federici family thin crusted pizza recipe has been handed down from generations beginning 1946, with 2nd generation Frankie and Nanna Federici.
While Matt Federici continues to use the same Federici family recipes, with minor tweaking of lunch and dinner specials, Matt has introduced some changes in updating the decor and in introducing live music on Sunday evenings.
The reason diners to come to this Federici family restaurant is for the convenience of a more flexible approach to servicing diners, including the acceptance of credit cards, and BYOB.
Except for the excellent thin crusted pizza, and their lunch and dinner specials, the salads and entree items are very similar in quality to the many other neighboring BYOB, traditional red sauce southern Italian restaurants.
They are child friendly and has on-site parking.
They also offer outside dining on the heated enclosed porch
