Restaurant Review

Drew's Bayshore Bistro is one of the top restaurants in the Northeast Monmouth County are

Chef/owner Andrew Arcane continues to please with his creative servings of New American New Orleans influence dishes.

Chef Araneo, a Keyport native, received his formal culinary education at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ. He later honed his skills at several area noteworthy restaurants including Joe and Maggie's in Long Branch and Whispers in Spring Lake. Chef Araneo was also a 2010 James Beard Foundation semifinalist for best Mid-Atlantic chef.

The creative dishes are also prepared using locally sourced, farm-to-table ingredients

The serving of bread is excellent. Served hot with just the right amount of crust, though the accompaniment of butter served is cold & hard.

The Pork Du Jour is Chef Araneo's signature dish and is consistently excellent

The interior is tastefully decorated with seating for 60 amongst dark well spaced tables set with black linen napkins (no table cloths) over cantina-style tile floors, earth tone beige/gold walls, adorned with photographs of the Raritan Bay area and New Orleans, and several large windows with a glimpse of Keyport Harbor.

Noise level is moderate with just the chatter of diners and without background music. There is a single unisex bathroom.

The service is friendly, attentive and unpretentious.
