Blend on Main, located on the site of the Inn on Main Bed & Breakfast and across the street from the Algonquin Theatre, is a popular high end, BYOB serving a well executed, seasonal menu, using high quality ingredients. This is a restaurant with both substance and style
The restaurant is owned by Executive Chef Lou Smith, one of the top north Jersey Shore Chefs. Prior to opening Blend on Main, Chef Smith was the Executive Chef at the Firefly American Bistro in Manasquan.
Chef Smith serves a well executed, seasonal changing menu prepared with fresh farm to table, ingredients sourced from local purveyors.
As an example of his gourmet cooking techniques, he does not use pre-packaged beef or vegetable stock, instead the stock is prepared in-house using the excess from the fish to create the rich, savory stock that goes into many of his signature dishes.
The menu in addition to entrees and appetizers, includes a variety small plate options.
Blend on Main also serves USDA Prime beef, not often found in other Jersey Shore restaurants. USDA Prime is the superior grade with exceptional tenderness, juiciness, flavor and fine texture. It has the highest degree of fat marbling and is derived from younger beef. Their beef is is sourced from Allen Brothers, a leading supplier of high end restaurants, known for USDA Prime cut steaks, using grain fed, pasture raised beef
Mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, and desserts are all made in-house.
A unique feature with Blend on Main is their complementary serving of delicious Parmesan cheese crusted pretzels to open your dining experience.
Save room for desserts are are exceptional. Try their house made Drunken Doughnuts, paty choux dough nuts, with cinnamon sugar, and house made rum jelly
The interior of Blend on Main is attractively done up with a beautiful stone fireplace in the middle of the main dining area. Tables set with white linen and dimly lit candles. There are large windows that face out to Main St that offer a nice vantage point for people watching.
The wait staff, dressed in black, is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.
They offer a groupon pre-fixed dinner for groupon members. The special for 2 or 4 diners to taste the different profiles of the restaurant. Contact the restaurant for qualifying conditions and restrictions.
They are open on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve.
