One of the best kept restaurant secrets in New Jersey. The ambience is quaint, with a old world, romantic charm. The decor has brick-faced walls, soft lighting, lots of flowers and plants around pretty wood tables, couches and a fireplace. In the background, soft latin and Italian music is played to compliment the ambience. But the real story here is the food, and the outstanding price value. The food is well prepared. Each entree comes with soup or salad, and a loaf of warm, crusty white bread presented alongside room-temperature butter. For starters, try the Creamy Chicken and Cabbage soup; or the house salad, served on a plate of romaine garnished with red onion, red pepper, tomato, cucumber and grated cheese. For dinner entrees, try the Chicken Marsala, sauteed, and served with portobello mushrooms and a marsala sauce, with mashed potatoes and broccoli; The Scallops in Marinara, served over al dente linguine in a spicy red sauce. Save room for dessert. Try Tiramisu prepared with Kahlua-soaked ladyfingers with mascarpone cheese and topped with powdered cocoa; or the Banana Cream Cheesecake prepared with whipped cream and a graham-cracker crust. The service is friendly and attentive. They are open daily for lunch and dinner, and on weekends for breakfast.
