Recommended dishes: When available, for dinner, the Fresh tortillas, or the Hummus and conch fritter, or the Butternut Squash soup for starters. For dinner entrees, The Grilled Salmon, The Tuna, or The Filet Mignon.
Liquor: While it's BYOB, they offer local wines from Alba Vineyards.
Lily's on the Canal, set back from Bridge Street in Lambertville, is located alongside the Delaware canal.
It's a pleasant lunch or dinner place if you want to take a break from shopping, or in visiting many of the art galleries in town, or if you are biking ---- it's conveniently off the bike path along the canal.
They serve up excellent food at reasonable prices. The menu is eclectic, with well prepared dishes made with fresh local ingredients.
For lunch they offer a variety grilled panini sandwiches, pasta and salads.
The dining ambiance has a rustic charm with a hip vibe. There is an open kitchen and the carefree mood is enhanced by apple green and pale yellow walls and a waterfall alongside the staircase adds to the restaurant's eclectic atmosphere.
During the warmer months, Lily's on the Canal offers al fresco dining on the Garden patio along the Canal for the lucky few who are able to land a table outside. Its also a good spot for people watching as they stroll by along the tow path.
Inside, the acoustics are not optimum and can get noisy during peak times.
The service at Lily's on the Canal is friendly and laid back.
Note: Your GPS may not get you there. The restaurant is set off the road. Parking is also limited.
