Open year round, Alfes restaurant is popular with locals and visitors who enjoy well prepared traditional Southern Italian food with "Old World Italian" ambiance. It's a popular spot for diners mostly in their 50's and 60's and for families with children.
Open since 1985, this Wildwood landmark restaurant is a good choice for diners looking to get away from the many Boardwalk pizza eateries and the many mediocre red sauce family Italian restaurants.
Located at the site of the Island Bowling Alley --- but don't be turned off by it's location --- once inside you will experience "Old World Italian" decor and ambiance with large, elegant, multiple dining rooms.. Seating has half moon style booths and typical rectangular tables set with white linen.
The menu features a large variety of traditional (mostly red sauce) seafood, homemade pasta, veal, steaks, chicken, and more. Intermezzo of lemon sorbet served before the entree.
Try their signature "Jackie sauce" --- it can be ordered on a variety of dishes. It is one of their unique sauce preparations that distinguishes Alfe's from the many other Wildwood Southern Italian red sauce restaurants.
.The is family owned and operated with recipes passed down from past generations, and when available, produce and ingredients are sourced from local purveyors.
Classic Frank Sinatra and the rat pack background music enhances the "Old World Italian" ambiance.

If you are there for a quiet, romantic dining experience, request a table away from a large group or a family with young children.
