Restaurant Review

Park West Tavern is a modern American tavern with upscale, chic ambiance,  serving a well executed contemporary American menu.

Owned and operated by John Halligan and Randy Carson, also owners of the Park Steakhouse in Park Ridge, this 80-seat tavern is attractively done up with lots of dark earth tone wood and stone, a large stone fireplace, and dim soft lighting. There is an energetic vibe with tables separated from the bar area to maintain comfortable conversation without having to shout over the bar crowd and other nearby diners.

John Halligan, a Culinary Institute of America graduate, also serves as the Executive chef for both restaurants. The seasonal menu is creatively prepared, with a good selection of inspiring twists on classic favorites. They feature steaks, many of them aged 21 days on site.

The Park West Tavern Sunday brunch menu is excellent, with a nice variety of creative dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. Their Brunch Menu stands high among Ridgewood's top Brunch spots, in a town known as a mecca for it's large variety of Sunday Brunch spots ---  especially if you enjoy a good Bloody Mary or a Mimosa with your meal

The Sunday Brunch menu offers a nice blend of egg/breakfast options along with lunch-type selections. The brunch meal begins with a serving of small warm chocolate mini muffins.

A popular spot for Easter and Mother's Day Brunch. The PWT upstairs loft serves an excellent Mother's Day Brunch --- buffet style, complete with an omelette station, French toast, scrambled eggs, with a variety of pastries, braised short ribs, bacon and sausage.

In the warmer months there is outdoor sidewalk seating in the front and small courtyard in the back

Parking is a challenge in Ridgewood. The Park West Tavern has free valet service which is a bonus in the busy downtown section of Ridgewood.

Park West Tavern is open seven days/week, Daily 11:30am to 12am & Sunday 10:30am beginning with Brunch to 12am

Reservations are recommended.
