Independence Day commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress in Philadelphia, PA. on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

This is a Federal holiday in the United Sates and is celebrated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, picnics, baseball games, along with many other private family and friends events.

Bring a chair or your favorite blanket and join us on the green for a viewing of the Lower Township fireworks display, taking place just up the beach from the terminal. The green provides a perfect vantage point for this incredible display, and admission and parking for the event are free. We'll have live music from the band Jumper, face painting for the kids and food & beverage available on the green.

The fireworks show will be orchestrated by "Fireworks by Grucci." This well-known fireworks company conducts fireworks shows around the world, including the annual massive New Year's Eve show in Las Vegas.

At 7pm the Bay Atlantic Symphony will be performing a free, patriotic concert inside Avalon Community Hall.  Concert seating is on a first come, first served basis. This Independence Day celebration features live entertainment & fireworks. TO THE MAX will take the stage as the Borough celebrates America's independence. The eight-piece band, one of the liveliest in the Philadelphia region, will entertain the crowd with popular music and play patriotic tunes during the fireworks. Admission is free. Gates open at 6:30 pm; Show starts at 8 pm. The fireworks kick off at approximately 9:15 p.m. at the high school stadium (424 Collings Ave). Stadium seating will not be available so bring a blanket!

Evesham plans a full day of fun events that feature a 5K run, a kid's bike parade, a 4th of July Parade, paratroopers and fireworks.
The day begins with the Marlton Mayor's Cup Run starting at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Bike Parade for kids. up to grade 5 and parents pushing babies in strollers and wagons.
The July 4th parade starts at 11:30 AM proceeding along Main Street from Maple Avenue to Bettlewood Road.
The evening celebration will be held at Cherokee High School in Marlton, beginning at 7:45 p.m. with the grand finale, the fireworks at 9:30 pm

The Battleship will open her decks at 7pm.  The fireworks shows are projected to begin at 9:30pm.

Woodstown Fourth of July Celebration

The day begins at Marlton with the annual Woodstown-Pilesgrove Firecracker 5K run. The Firecracker Run starts at Marlton Park and leads runners through the neighboring community. This run attracts more than 300 runners to the park. Marlton Park is also the last stop for the annual Fourth of July Parade. The parade is the only one in the county and attracts people from all over. The Fourth of July celebration ends at Marlton Park with an outstanding fireworks show. This fireworks show includes live music, food vendors and other activities to round out the day.
