Well prepared Cuban fused cuisine using both fresh locally sourced ingredients when available.

Owners Bijen Patel and Luis Iglesias along with Executive Chef Alexis Lahens of The Cuban Restaurant and Bar have teamed up to create one of Hoboken's top dining spots.

This elegant, fine dining restaurant with a Latin ambiance is popular with the professional Hoboken crowd looking to enjoy an intimate date or getting together with friends for drinks, and dinner.

Chef Alexis Ladens, a New Jersey native born in Secaucus, is a graduate of the The New York Culinary School. His food preparation techniques features the fusion of both authentic Cuban and locally sourced seasonal ingredients to create a contemporary menu of popular American selections with a definite Cuban influence.

Desserts are home made on-site.

This multi-tiered restaurant has three attractively decorated dining rooms that can also be booked for private dining and parties. The Bar area is elegant, warm and intimate and can accommodate up to 30 people in banquet style seating for patrons looking to enjoy drinks with small plate, eclectic Cuban tapas

The two additional dining areas, the Zebra Room and Rock Room are located at back of the restaurant. The Zebra Room features Zebra striped wall seating with overhead chandeliers. The Rock room features a stone wall. The walls in each of the three rooms are attractively done up in a deep red, elegant look with photos of 1950s Havana. and paintings from a local Cuban art studio to create a setting that's a mixture of old and new world Cuba.

There is also a loft-style second floor bar overlooking the Rock Room. that is used for private parties,

During the warmer months there is dining on an outdoor patio.

They have live music on Thursdays and Sundays.

They are open for Dinner: Sunday through Wednesday, 4 to 10 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, until 11 p.m. Late-night dinner menu, Thursday to Saturday, 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Brunch: Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Nearby public transportation is available. The Cuban is a short walk from the Path and NJ Transit train stations.
