Located on the site of the now closed Merion Inn, The Cricket Club opened in 2022 and has quickly achieved success as one of Cape May's top fine-dining restaurants.

Owned and operated by the Kulkowitz family who also owns and operates one of Cape May's highly acclaimed landmark restaurants ---- the Mad Batter.

The Cricket Club has since undergone a complete remodeling of its decor. The overall design's warm lighting reflects a smooth blend of tradition and contemporary flair

The kitchen is run by executive chef Jon Davies. Chef Davies received his formal culinary training at Johnson and Wales University of Culinary Arts. He later honed his culinary skills in Aspen, Colorado, before returning to Cape May where he worked in the kitchens at the Mad Batter and Merion Inn.

Chef Davis has a fondness for New Orleans-style food. When he was 12, his parents took him to New Orleans, and the flavors he encountered there left a lasting impression. Although the menu does not feature New Orlens style cooking, an example of his attacmenent to this region is the Southern-style gumbo stew that is offered on the menu, a testament to the rich culinary heritage of Louisiana.

The Contemporary American menu is well-executed and innovative, and the portions and prices are reasonable. In addition to the standard-sized entrees, the menu also includes offerings of "Lighter Fare."

Live music appears on weekends.
