Can you please refer me to restaurants that offer lunch with either garden dining or ones with a beautiful setting.I am in Staten Island-so anything within an hour or so would be fine.

Where Did Chef Daniel Picard Formerly With
Pino's Restaurant Go To?

by Flo Mount
(Charlotte, NC)

I'm trying to locate Chef Daniel Picard. His last known location was Pinos Restaurant in Marlboro, NJ, which was featured in one of your articles. I called Pinos and they said he left there over a year ago. My husband and I used to frequent the Waters Edge in Bayville where he was a chef many years ago (about 20)and he made a lamb medallion dish that I have looked to recreate for years. Can you help in locating him and providing either his current restaurant or email address? Your help is so greatly appreciated.

Looking For A Restaurant Halfway Between Edison And North Bergen To Meet Friends.

by anne
(North bergen nj)

Where is a restaurant to meet friends at halfway between Edison and North Bergen?
Frank's Reply:
Hi Anne;
The Elizabeth area right off the NJ Turnpike is about halfway between Edison and North Bergen. Not knowing about your age group or type of restaurants you prefer, I am making the assumption that since you are going out with friends you would want a place that serves alcohol, is reasonably priced, and is appealing to groups of friends. Here are some suggestions:

City Tavern
1109 Elizabeth Ave
Elizabeth, NJ 07201
908) 353-7113

Terminal One Sports Bar
566 Spring St.
Elizabeth, NJ 7201
908-354-3685

Ironbound Grill
Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel
1000 Spring Street
Elizabeth, NJ
1-908-436-4600

I would suggest calling ahead to confirm it's what you had in mind.

What do you think about Namaste Cafe?

(Elizabeth, NJ)

What do you think of Namaste Cafe located in New Brunswick? I have never been there but am interested in going.

Hi;

If you enjoy healthy organic, vegetarian food with a "vibish ambiance" that promotes a yogic lifestyle, with a social environment and club-like atmosphere free of cigarettes and alcohol, then you should enjoy this place. See a more detailed review.

Please let us know about your experience at Namaste Cafe and Juice Bar!

Where can I find the Best Lobster Roll in New Jersey?

by ashok
(branchburg)

Where do I find good lobster roll in NJ?

Franks reply:
Hi Ashok,
You are asking about one of my favorite New England regional foods, and I can honestly say, like a good New England Clam Chowder, there are few if any Lobsters rolls in New Jersey that compare to what can be found in New England,

However, having said that, here are some places that you can try:

Legal Seafoods
1 Garden State Plaza
Paramus, NJ

Legal Seafoods
1200 Morris Turnpike
Short Hills, NJ

Whole Foods
44 Godwin Ave
Ridgewood, NJ

Elysian Cafe
1001 Washington St.
Hoboken, New Jersey

Red's Lobster Pot
57 Inlet Drive
Point Pleasant Beach, NJ
(Only served outdoors on their dockside Bar)

Spike's Fish Market & Restaurant
415 Broadway
Pt Pleasant Beach, NJ
