Mattars Bistro reopened in the fall of 2008 with a name change, a new casual format, and new decor. The new format as an upscale pub with comedy & entertainment on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings in the lounge. The new format is popular with the 30+ crowd. The bar scene is vibrant, especially around happy hour. The menu offers a wide range of selections including burgers, sandwiches, and pizza to full entrees. While a few of the original, more expensive items on the menu are carried over from the original restaurant format, for the most part the menu has been revised to offer more casual and moderately priced dishes. For those who choose to remain in the bar area, there is a limited bar menu available until 11 p.m. Some of the popular dinner entrees include; The Double Cut Pork Chop, 16 oz.; The Homemade Lobster Ravioli with brandy cream & petit lobster tail; and The Lamb Chops, 14 oz. The are child friendly and offer a good children's menu. The service is attentive, efficient, and friendly. |
