Restaurant Review

This Greens and Grains  Margate location is one of four New Jersey locations (Gallaway, Margate, Northfield, & Shrewsbury). Set in a small  storefront, they are part of a chain of quick-service vegan restaurants popular with diners who come to enjoy a well prepared, plant based menu with ingredients sourced from local purveyors.

Greens & Grains is primarily a plant based juice bar and vegan eatery with a well executed, tightly controlled menu.

The Jersey based chain is co-owned by Nicole Jacoby and her husband Lambros Psounos who togrther formed the LAN Restaurant Group, parent company of Greens and Grain.

The menu consists of a variety of pitas, wraps, acai bowls, and salads with various grains, fresh spinach, kale and vegetables, Juices, smoothies, coffee, and vegan ice cream.are also served.

Their selection of 7 smoothies are well executed, with controlled customization by adding or leaving out certain ingredients. They do not use any ice in their smoothies. The cold drinks are prepared using 100% fresh cut fruit and frozen in restaurant grade metal pans. "Customization" means they offer a variety of items such as hemp protein, hemp seeds, chia seeds, cacao powder, peanut butter powder, and spirulina that enables you to mofify the smootie to you taste. To preserve the quality, consistency, and taste of their smoothies, they do not offer "make your own" smoothies.

While they are frequented by a large take out crowd, they also have a indoor, and weather permitting, outdoor seating. The interior is modern and clean, with a few tables and counter chairs.

Greens and Grains is open seven days/week, Monday-Sunday: 8am-6pm
