Restaurant Review

Bareli's By The Sea, located in the Grand Victorian Hotel across from the ocean, is a fine dining restaurant serving a creative contemporary Italian menu with scenic ocean beach front views.

Bareli's By The Sea is co-owned (with three other partners) and operated by Executive Chef Robb Welch, a graduate of the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing. Robb Welch also co-owns and serves as Executive chef at Barelli's Restaurant & Bar in Secaucus, a highly rated restaurant serving high end cuisine, service, and ambiance.

Formerly the home of the Black Trumpet, Bareli's By The Sea has undergone renovation creating a setting with a modern, trendy, yet elegant look. There are two interior dining areas. The main dining room in the rear of the restaurant and the front garden-like atrium with scenic beach front views. Tables are set with white linen, fine china, large attractive wine glasses, and a small candlelit light atop the tables.

During the warmer months there is outdoor dining on the wrap around porch with scenic ocean front views.

Chef Welch serves a creative Italian menu with a variety of both traditional and contemporary dishes prepared with quality local and imported ingredients. His inspiration for Italian cooking comes from his mother who is Sicilian. All pastas and desserts are house made.

This is not your typical heavy red sauce Southern Italian restaurant. Pastas are served with light sauces and applied sparingly to allow the flavors of the quality ingredients to emerge.

From May 1st through November 15th, they offer a wine list and a full service Bar.

Bareli's By The Sea is open seven days/week for Dinner from 4:30 - 10:30pm.

Not recommended for Kids.
