This innovative restaurant is a "diamond in the rough" in rapidly developing Asbury Park. Located in a tastefully refurbished Victorian setting, its spread amongst two levels of wraparound outdoor porches. The decor is a romantic ambiance of soft dark wood, candlelit tables, and a fireplace. In the warm summer months you can dine outside on the porch overlooking Wesley Lake. The food is outstanding with many creative dishes. Popular favorites include; Grilled Mustard Pork Chops with honey-mustard sauce; Grilled Tuna Rustic topped with arugula and tomato salad; Filet Mignon maitre d’ butter; and Grilled Loin Lamb Chops Herbed Demi Glaze. While service is attentive and efficient, the hosts tend to be stand offish or unfriendly, especially during the peak dining times. There are no reservations taken and on weekends be prepared for a long wait. An attractive bar/lounge is available to ease your waiting time. |
