Recommended dishes: The Grilled Veal Chop with artichoke, fig, and oyster mushroom salad, and peverada sauce: The Veal "Osso Bucco" Ravioli with port wine reduction, and Parmigiano Reggiano; and The Stuffed Mountain Trout speck, cipollini onions, Napa cabbage, potatoes, and Fontina d'Aosta.
Liquor: Extensive wine list, specialty cocktails.

 
 

Restaurant Review

Fornelletto restaurant, located in the Borgata Casino serves well prepared Southern Italian dishes under the direction of famed Executive Chef Stephen Kalt. Chef Kalt has become known for his appearances on "Martha Stewart Living" and as the Executive Chef of Corsa Cucina, a fine dining Italian restaurant at Wynn's casino in Las Vegas.

The interior is very attractive with spacious dimly lit dining rooms linked by rock-walled passageways and alcoves.

The main dining room dining offers an unobstructed view of the layered tiers of floor-to-ceiling racks of bottled wines. The only thing separating the attractive dining room from the wine racks is a glass wall that runs the full length of the room.

Adjacent to the main dining room is is a casual bistro-like dining area near the handsome marble bar with a mirrored wall reflecting rows of bottled spirits.

The acoustics in the dining area are poor and even boisterous at times.

The menu offers many well prepared southern Italian dishes creatively presented. The loosely organized menu lists a large variety of pizza and and pasta, seafood, and meat entrees that encourage's sharing. The food is prepared with quality, fresh ingredients.

The pizza’s are well prepared with a soft, chewy crust.

The staff is efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous.

Fornelletto is not recommended for children.
