Restaurant Review

This longtime Newark favorite restaurant continues to please. They serve up well prepared Spanish-Portuguese fare with fresh ingredients.

The dining area is spacious though the decor is dated with the ceilings adorned with chandeliers and the walls with murals and tables set with white linen. The atmosphere though is festive.

The restaurant is known for its large portions of appetizers, fresh lobster, and paella.

For starters, try the: Gambas al Ajillo, Nuestra Especialidad shrimp in garlic or the Chorizos a la Plancha, sausage Spanish style.

The portions are large so remember to save room for your entree and dessert.

For the dinner entree, try the:Langosta al Horno, lobster stuffed with crabmeat, shrimps and scallops, or try one of the three paella dishes; Paella Valenciana with shellfish, chicken, and Spanish sausage; or the Paella Marinera with a variety of shellfish in saffron rice; or the Paella de Legumbres, a vegetarian paella.

For desserts, try the Flan, a custard with caramel topping or the Carrot Cake with nuts and raisins, filled and frosted with cream cheese icing.

Service is friendly and attentive. Parking is available though cramped.
