Restaurant Review

The Boathouse Restaurant is a popular Wildwood eatery. The main reason you come here is for the waterfront view, drinks, and for reasonably priced food. It's especially enjoyed for watching the sunset over the water.

This is a casual restaurant with a typical Jersey Shore menu of seafood, sandwiches, meats, and burgers. The food is basic and mediocre.

The place gets very crowded during the summer months with long waits, oftentimes over 1 hour.

While waiting for your table, check in at the bar area for a good variety of beers and cocktails.

They offer an attractively priced 2 dinner Sunset Special menu from 4:00PM - 5:30PM daily.

They are child and family friendly with a kids menu.

The Boathouse Restaurant operates on seasonal hours, with an opening the first weekend in May.

There is ample on-site parking

How Do We Review (analyze) Restaurants?

New Jersey Leisure Guide strives to provide objective restaurant reviews .

The methodology used is research, analysis driven --- as opposed to that of a single restaurant critic or a viewer comment posting board.

Data is gathered from our viewers e-mail restaurant comments, Internet research, and professional restaurant critics. The data is sorted, (weeding out the obvious biased, "bone to pick",  and out of consensus comments), analyzed, and the review is created.
