Restaurant Review

The Maeberrie Market in Avon By The Sea is one of the top Northern Jersey Shore restaurants for a well-executed, creative breakfast/lunch dining experience.

The restaurant is owned and operated by Keri DeCorso and Michael Halsey with Salvatore Capobianco running the kitchen. Prior to the opening of the Maeberrie Market in 2019, all three worked at Pascal & Sabine restaurant in Asbury Park,

Chef Capobianco oversees the kitchen that serves a limited option, well-executed, seasonally changing menu. When available, locally sourced ingredients, are used such as locally sourced, strong, and tasty, gourmet coffee. They use free range eggs and free-range chickens. Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten Free options are also available.

For BYO diners, they offer an excellent sorbet for mimosas.

There are two parts to the restaurant, a smaller shop/boutique/coffee/pastry area and the main dining room

The dining area decor and ambiance is tastefully done-up. Simplistic and attractive, with a quaint, charming, intimate space, including dark wood flooring, built-in bookshelves, dated wood tables and chairs. It's clean and nostalgic along with low key music in the background

The cafe/market is run separate from the restaurant, with counter seating, and shopping for coffee & espresso, lattes, house made lemonades, pastries & sweets, fresh cut flowers and a curated selection of vintage & new homewares.

Service is warm, welcoming, and attentive.

On weekends and during peak summer months, Maeberrie Market is an extremely popular breakfast/brunch spot. Food service is apt to be slow during this period and wait times can be long, sometimes up to 45 minutes. There is limited inside seating, and they do not take reservations with seating on a first come, first served basis.

Not Recommended for children.

They are open year-round with seasonal weekday days, Weekdays from 9am-3pm & Sunday 9am - 2:30pm.
Dinner isn't served daily, but from time to time they offer specially prepared dinners, accepting both reservations and walk ins.
