Food Quality: Excellent. Uses wild-caught, sustainably harvested lobster from Maine.

Decor: Bright and clean, with a nautical decor.

Recommended dishes: When available, The Lobster Roll, W/Maine lobster, served chilled or warm with either touch of mayo or butter and lemon, on a New England roll; The Lobster Tacos w/Maine lobster, served with cabbage, pico de gallo, cilantro lime sauce, on flour tortillas; and The Lobster Bisque w/Maine lobster in a roux-thickened stock, complemented with Spanish sherry, a light cream, and a dash of white pepper.

Cousins Maine Lobster is a national, locally owned franchise --- a welcomed addition to Asbury Park Boardwalk dining scene offering high quality lobster sandwiches with efficient and friendly service.

Best known for their food trucks, Cousins Maine Lobster opened its first brick-and-mortar store in New Jersey with this Asbury Park Boardwalk location in the early summer of 2022. The Asbury Park Boardwalk is location is owned and operated by Victoria and Savas Alkoc.

While the wild-caught, sustainably harvested lobster is sourced from Maine, they are committed to sourcing other ingredients from local purveyors.

The menu features Lobster Rolls, Lobster Grilled Cheese, Clam Chowder, other seafood delights. The dishes are filled with ample portions of lobster, with little or no fillers to take up space.

The interior is bright and clean, with a nautical decor and a brick wall done up with a lobster painting by a local artist. There is ample table seating both indoors and outdoors.

You order at the counter, pay the cashier, get your drink, and sit inside or outside with your given number sign to place on table.

Servce is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.

Cousins Maine Lobster is open with seasonal hours. During the warmer months they are open seven days/week for lunch and dinner
