The Dining Room restaurant at the Short Hills Hilton, once a four star restaurant, has re-opened and has sadly lost it's past four star grandeur as one of the top restaurants in all of NJ.
They have downsized their menu and service staff to become a more relaxed, casual, and affordable dining experience.
The food preparation is still under the careful supervision of Executive chef Richard Kennedy who also oversees the kitchen at the Hotel's Terrace Restaurant. The new menu is a seasonal rustic American menu with basic preparation and many comfort foods. Chef Kennedy still tries to adhere to utilizing local ingredients. The menu tends to be limited and typically offers one daily special.
The decor is attractive with dark paneled walls adorned with artwork by local artist Jim Inzero.
The Dining Room is still a restaurant that is ideal for special occasions and business dinners.
