Restaurant Review

The Depot Market Cafe is one of the top places in Cape May for a take out sandwich  or a quick eat-in, inexpensive lunch, either in doors or outside.

Run by Chris and Lisa Shriver, the restaurant located near the Cape May train station is a small, year-round restaurant that is especially popular with the locals.

The Depot Market Cafe provides few amenities ---- self service, with just a few eat in tables.

During the warmer months there is seating outdoors on the tented patio with picnic benches.

They offer breakfast sandwiches, soups, salads, and creatively prepared, gourmet sandwiches using fresh ingredients.

Open daily for breakfast & lunch, closed for the season from mid-December to mid-February

How Do We Review (analyze) Restaurants?

New Jersey Leisure Guide strives to provide objective restaurant reviews .

The methodology used is research, analysis driven --- as opposed to that of a single restaurant critic or a viewer comment posting board.

Data is gathered from our viewers e-mail restaurant comments, Internet research, and professional restaurant critics. The data is sorted, (weeding out the obvious biased, "bone to pick",  and out of consensus comments), analyzed, and the review is created.
