This year Memorial day will be celebrated on Monday, May 28, 2018
It is a time for parades, flags, and wreath-laying ceremonies paying tribute the who died serving our country.
Memorial Day is also the unofficial beginning of summer in New Jersey with the Jersey Shore beach communities coming alive with activities.
Many of these activities include music festivals, ethnic festivals, fireworks, auto racing events and special events geared to the kick off of summer.

Celebrate Memorial day with firetrucks, and high school marching bands! Complete with a 21-gun salute and flag-raising. Parade begins at Memorial Middle school on Mill Street and ends at Main Street.

Parade starts at Dawes ave and ending at 12 noon at Bethel Road
Stone Harbor - 7 Mile Island American Legion Parade and Ceremony
Monday, May 28, 2018; @ 12 noon.
The parade begins on 96th Street tothe Women's Civic Club of Stone Harbor . Ceremony immediately follows outside Women's Civic Club at 96th & the beach Open House, 1:00 PM at the American Legion, 117th Street and Second Avenue. Firefighters ceremony at the firehouse precedes the parade at 11:00 a.m.
