13th Annual Holi Hai Color Walk and Festival

The event starts at 10 am at Jersey City City Hall and continues at Pier A Park in Hoboken from 12 - 8pm. The celebrations continue at Pier A Park in Hoboken, where attendees are greeted with a festival of food, bars and artisan and ethnic vendors along with more musical and dance performances, DJ music and dancing, interactive workshops and of course, more color!
The annual Holi Hai Festival is the largest Holi celebration in the Tri-State which turns the whole atmosphere into a colorful playground of celebration and fun. Holi is, perhaps, India's most popular festival where participants throw color at each other in a celebration of the seasons, brotherhood and unity. Though Holi has its roots in traditional Indian mythology, this secular festival celebrates inclusion and unity. Sea.Hear.Now is committed to raising awareness about the issues facing our ocean environment, including the global plastic waste crisis and climate change.
Two days featuring over 25 performances on three stages, all on the gorgeous Asbury Park Waterfront. The event features music, surf culture and arts festival features over 25 performances, food from regional and local restaurants including vegan, vegetarian & gluten-free options, specialty items from dozens of art vendors with giveaways with Bars & concessions throughout the park and beach Water stations with free refills. The lineup for the festival is decidedly rock-heavy with alt-rockers Incubus and folksy surfer dude Jack Johnson headlining the two days, which will feature three stages -- two on the beach just north of Convention Hall and one in nearby Bradley Park -- and more than two-dozen of bands. This family music festival features southern Appalachian old-time and bluegrass and related music styles. For kids, there is also a Children's Stage.
The festival site has plenty of room for camping for tenters as well as RVers, and unlike many other festivals, they do not charge extra for camping. Weekend ticket holders may camp on the grounds at no charge, but camping is available only to weekend ticket holders - daily ticket holders may not bring vehicles or camping gear into the campground.

Both the top Mummers Brigades AND top Mummers String Bands from the New Year's Day Parade in Philadelphia will entertain crowds in the pub district of North Wildwood. The excitement kicks off Friday night at 6 p.m. with the Fancy Brigade Pub Crawl through local drinking establishments in the North Wildwood Entertainment District. A colorful Mummers parade will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday along Olde New Jersey Avenue where you can get up-close views of the beautiful costumes and intricate dance steps. (Fancy Brigades begin at 3 p.m. and the String Band Grand Finale begins at 4:30 p.m.)

The event will conclude with a Parachute Pyrotechnic Show from Team Fastrax at 8:00 PM, This event consists of several highly trained and specially licensed Team Fastrax™ demonstrators exiting the aircraft 6,000 feet above Ocean City's Beach & Boardwalk. Brilliant white or multi-colored projectile pyrotechnics are then ignited and flown in formation, creating a dazzling display for spectators on the ground, concluding with a landing on the 7th St Beach. Viewable along the entire Boardwalk.

Irish Fall Festival

One of the largest Irish festivals in the country is held at the Jersey shore -- every September, Wildwood holds the annual Irish Fall Festival!. The yearly celebration of Irish heritage is expected to draw as many as a quarter of a million people to the resort of the Wildwoods for the festival.
The Four-day events include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court stage and beer garden, and Catholic Mass. The events conclude with a parade on Surf Avenue from 20th to Spruce and Olde New Jersey Avenues.
