Restaurant Review

The Pacific Grill is one of top, high end Wildwood restaurant --- offering well prepared seafood in an upscale, casual setting.
.
Owned by partners Chef John Schatz and General Manager Bojidar "Bob" Dimitrov, who also own the Union Park in Cape Mayhave achieved immediate success as they bring their fine dining menu to Wildwood.

The difference is that the Pacific grill places more emphasis on seafood dishes. The Pacific Grill dining room is also less formal than the Union Park restaurant.

Chef John Schatz who continues to serve as the executive chef of the Union Park restaurant, honed his cooking skills at some of the top restaurants in Cape May including the Peter Shields Inn and Restaurant Maureen in Cape May.

The well prepared and creative menu has an island theme. with flavors from the Pacific Rim and Bourbon islands.

The menu has many gluten-free items displayed on a separate printed menu composed of gluten-free items only. Vegetarian dishes are also available.

Some of the ingredients are procured from sustainable sources, including the controversial Chilean sea bass.

The menu also has a French translation for the convenience of the many French speaking tourists from Canada.

All desserts are home made on the premises.

The decor is very attractive with an upscale, yet casual ambiance. The walls are adorned with photographs of beaches and sunsets in Puerto Rico. The dining room has a light and airy feel about it.

The atmosphere is cozy & romantic, the best place for a romantic dining experience in Widwood.

The wait staff is well trained, attentive, and knowledgeable.

The Pacific grill has seasonal hours. Opening for the summer season on the second weekend in May.

Open Monday, and Wednesday - Sunday:    5:00 pm    -    9:30 pm.

How Do We Review (analyze) Restaurants?

New Jersey Leisure Guide strives to provide objective restaurant reviews .

The methodology used is research, analysis driven --- as opposed to that of a single restaurant critic or a viewer comment posting board.

Data is gathered from our viewers e-mail restaurant comments, Internet research, and professional restaurant critics. The data is sorted, (weeding out the obvious biased, "bone to pick",  and out of consensus comments), analyzed, and the review is created.
