New Jersey Leisure guide is the largest single source of all-inclusive, impartial New Jersey restaurant reviews.

Unlike other sources that review restaurants on the basis of a single visit by a restaurant critic, or on the basis of restaurant diners, our restaurant ratings and reviews take into account a wider audience and are the result of a compilation of many sources, including restaurant critics and diners who have eaten there. Restaurant Review

The Black Trumpet, formerly located at the Sandpiper Inn in Spring Lake, has moved to it's current location at the Grand Victorian Hotel.

Chef/proprietor Mark Mikolajczyk and his long time sous chef and now partner Dave McCleery have teamed up to to offer a top Jersey Shore fine dining experience in a scenic atmosphere of casual elegance.

During the warmer months, outdoor dining on the porch is offered with beautiful views of the beach and ocean.

The decor is set amongst several attractive interior dining rooms and a wrap around interior dining area facing the outdoor porches with views of the ocean and beach.

The menu and specials are creatively prepared and presented with quality ingredients.

The special pasta appetizer, which changes frequently, is exceptional. The pasta is homemade with a very creative mix of ingredients and presentation.

For entrees, if on the menu, try the cedar planked salmon for a real treat or the Branzini - a Mediterranean Sea Bass served whole.

Save room for their home-made desserts, they are sumptuous.

If your there on a Sunday evening, try their special Sunday evening menu.

The Black Trumpet has the capacity to perform all catering functions, such as oceanfront weddings, bridal showers, birthday celebrations, and various family functions.

The service is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly.
