First Night in Maplewood/South Orange will take place at Columbia High School from 4-6pm and again from 7-11pm. Over 20 artists are scheduled to perform. Fireworks go off at at 6:30 pm.
Montclair
The arts friendly town of Montclair is planning another First Night Event to usher in 2010. Past musical performers include Little Feat and the Beatles tribute band The Fab Faux. At 5:00, the first night activities begin. You need to buy your buttons (tickets) on line ahead of time. The cost is $16.75. The web site address is: firstnightmontclair.org. MorrisTown
(973) 455-0708 Morris County First Night is a non-alcoholic event in Morristown that takes place from 7pm-midnight. Over 400 artists and 80 performers are scheduled to attend this year's celebration. Free parking and shuttle bus service will be provided. Ticket prices vary based on date of purchase. Buy between December 1-15: $15. December 16-30: $20. December 31: $25. Kids under 4 are free.

Ocean City First Night Say goodbye to 2009 and hello to 2010 on the Ocean City Boardwalk in Cape May County. In addition to performers, rides, and fireworks, you can also make a sit down dinner reservation. Tickets are $14 per person. Sit down dinner is an extra $20 per person and seating times are on the hour from 4-9pm. The legendary rhythm and blues band The Coasters will put on three shows at 9pm, 10pm, and 11pm. Coasters tickets $3. Free shuttle bus service will be provided from parking lots to Boardwalk.
Fireworks at Seaside Heights - First Night December 31, 2009

The First Night bracelet makes a great stocking stuffer or a gift for a neighbor or friend. For a cost of $5.00 per bracelet you and your entire family can enjoy a day filled with entertainment. Starting at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 31st there will be performances by the Give and Take Jugglers, and an illusion show. There will be music, comedy, face painters, balloonists, and caricature portrait drawings in each of the participating arcades along the boardwalk. All attendees are required to purchase bracelets that entitle them to all entertainment, free carousel rides and entries into a drawing for two gift baskets one for children and one for adults that are valued at over $250.00. The winning passport will be drawn at 5:00 p.m. and the winner does not have to be present in order to win. After the drawing the night will come to an end with a spectacular fireworks show at 5:30 p.m. located on the beach in-between the two amusement piers. Bracelets will be on sale starting Friday, November 27th at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall.
