This popular Kenilworth restaurant offers good Northern Italian dishes and sea food selections and an award winning wine list. The decor is contemporary and attractively done up with the main dining room adorned with colorful prints, candle-lit tables, and soft recessed lighting that provides a romantic atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety of well prepared, creative selections that can accommodate a range of affordability from the budget minded to the the extravagant diner. Starters include selections from either the raw bar or appetizer menu. The recommended starter selections are; the New Zealand mussels. Or the Fried Cajun Calamari with balsamic, garlic and cajun Spices, topped with tomatoes and scallions. Or the Goat Cheese Truffle rolled in olive tapenade and parsley, served with mesclun greens, crispy pancetta, toasted pignoli nuts, roasted peppers, sun dried cherries, and orange cittronette. The recommended entrees include: The Grilled Atlantic salmon topped with jumbo lump crabmeat and finished with white wine & saffron and potato-crusted red snapper set on a seabed of sauteed spinach and consummated with an extraordinary chardonnay beurre blanc. Or the Veal Rack Chop grilled and served over roasted yukon gold potatoes, with carmelized onions, and roasted garlic, topped with wild mushrooms and crispy pancetta, finished with port wine glace. Or choose from the Organic Free Range Chicken menu that offers several good choices. Save room for the desserts, they are sumptuous. Try the Brioche Banana Bread Pudding, mixed with a banana-chocolate custard, baked with chocolate chips, and served with Tahitian vanilla gelato. Or the Apple-Pear Cobbler with fresh apples, pears, and cranberries, baked with a light buttery crumble, and served with cinnamon gelato. The service at La Griglia Sea Food Grill and Wine Bar is attentive and the staff offers knowledgeable assistance with the menu and wine selections Valet parking is available. There is an additional dining area in the rear as well as upper level dining rooms that are opened up on busy on busy weekends and special occasions. Not recommended for Children. |
