This eatery is located in a restored historic barn in Mount’s Corner shopping Plaza and is currently owned by brother and sister Patti McMahon and Louis Hubela. This eatery opened in June, 2008 is undergoing growing pains and showing signs of improving and is now considered an above average in-expensive family restaurant, primarily on the basis of great price-value, service and the desire to make changes to for improvement.

The interior is clean and attractive with natural wood treated walls adorned with large pictures of historic Freehold.

The service is very friendly and attentive and considered exceptional for an in-expensive eatery. However, with their location in a remote corner of a second tier shopping center, they still need to differiente themselves from the larger chain restaurants with name recognition and high traffic highway visibility and cookie cutter menu selections.

As an example, the menu selection like the Stuffed French Toast with cream cheese and Strawberries needs to have the fruit compote -- often found in chain restaurants -- replaced with fresh strawberries.

While our viewers have not yet commented on the lunches and dinners, the experiences of the breakfast have been generally positive. The most popular servings are the Three Egg Omelet made to your order with a choice of ingredients; and the Barn Size Sampler of two eggs and two strips of bacon, two sausages with either two pancakes or home fries and juice.

Patti Cakes is very family friendly and has a children's menu.

They are open Saturday and Sundays from 8am - 3pm, Monday-Fridays from 8 am - 8 pm and have early bird specials from 3:30 pm - 6 pm, Mon-Fridays.
