Atlantic City is an idyllic seaside resort that makes the perfect backdrop for your wedding or civil union ceremony. They are hosting a free non-denominational group wedding, civil union and vow renewal ceremony in the Ballroom at Boardwalk Hall on Valentine's Day. There is no cost to participate in the ceremony and a limited number of guests are welcome. The event will include a champagne toast, wedding cake and photo opportunities. Jean Muchanic, executive director of Absecon Lighthouse, will officiate the ceremony. Couples must pre-register. Registration will begin in mid-December. All couples wishing to participate in a marriage or civil union must obtain their own New Jersey* marriage or civil union license. There is a 3-day mandatory waiting period in the State of New Jersey for a marriage or civil union license. Vow renewals do not require a license. *Out-of-state couples must have a New Jersey marriage or civil union license.
