The tree lighting Ceremony includes refreshments and food sampling. The free Holiday Musical Light Show features a 35-foot tree synchronized to holiday music. This not-to-be-missed experience combines interactive lights with an inspiring array of beloved holiday musical selections. Adding to the festive décor is Tropicana's famed 25- foot Poinsettia Tree located in Palm Walk.

About 50 animal and holiday-themed figures will light up the winter night in Turtle Back Zoo and the surrounding Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex. Over 100,000 lights will illuminate figures of bears, tigers and elephants, along with holiday lights designed to look like wooden soldiers, stars and winter scenes. Several animal exhibits will be open, including the Sea Lion Sound, Essex Farm, Tam-ring Gibbons Reserve, Tropical Currents Aquarium and the Reptile Building.

This annual Christmas show is a favorite for both young and old. It features intricate ice sculptures, created by a world record-winning sculpture artist. This years theme is the 12 Days of Christmas. The sculptures can be up to 18 feet tall. You'll have a chance to pose with an ice Santa at the end of the display. The facility is kept at 15 degrees, so don't forget to bundle up!
