AMOR Restaurant - Somers Point, NJ

by Carl Rosner
(Margate City)

I am a local New Jersey resident, and I looked for our favorite restaurant in your listings, and I was sorry not to see them listed.

I, therefore, nominate, AMOR restaurant in Somers Point, NJ as a fantastic Mexican and Italian restaurant.

In Margate I, also, want you to know about Sophia's Restaurant on Amherst Ave in Margate City.

Bobby Flay's - Why Is Takeout Food From A Top Restaurant Subpar?

by Janet Greenberg
(Long Branch)

Had a Bobby Flay Blue Cheese Burger Salad a month or so ago in the restaurant, raved about it.

The other night as a treat for the family ordered it take out, it was like night and day. The salad greens were barely there, spring greens from a salad bag it appeared. The burger was good, one burger, ordered well done was practically rare. Very disappointed, not anywhere near the quality of the food we received while dining in the restaurant.

I am a huge fan of Bobby Flay, rarely miss a Throwdown bur that take out meal was a major disappointment. Guess take out is not the way to go with Bobby's burgers.

Sorry about that still a major Bobby Flsy fan.

Janet

Bobby Flay Steakhouse, Atlantic City, NJ

by Dan
(Cherry Hill, NJ)

The Bobby Flay Steakhouse in the Borgata Hotel is our favorite restaurant whenever we come to AC. This restaurant is a power scene for the high rollers. It’s energetic and the décor is beautiful with wooden vaulted ceilings and leather paneled walls. If you have the budget for the high prices, and enjoy Southwest influenced rubs and steaks, you’ll love this place.

Last trip here I had the lobster salad with chopped bits of lobster and a mix of chopped celery, and the spicy southwest rib eye with asparagus in a green peppercorn vinaigrette. Awesome!

The wine list is also outstanding and the service is professional.

Dazzy Os Bar & Grill Cherry Hill

by Jonathan Truestino
(Cherry hill, nj 08034)

This a great place to eat with a rather large variety of food to pick from including a great seafood menu. Everything on the menu is fresh and seasoned to perfection. Absolutely, a cozy place to eat and watch the game or any sporting event.

Georges Place - Cape May

by Frank
(Marlnoro)

This is the best Breakfast restaurant in Cape May. They open up at 8 am and by 8:13 am there is a waiting list to get a table. Try their Bananas Foster French Toast --- sumptuous. They are also open for Lunch and dinner. Best of all, in addition to good food, they are inexpensive and their prices offer excellent value

Jays Crab Shack, Ocean City, New Jersey

by John Leggett
(Kent Island, Maryland)

Jays Crab Shack has the best Crab Cake in all of New Jersey. There Jumbo Lump Maryland Crab Cake is the best I have ever had.

Their whole menu is reasonably priced with seafood being their specialty. A family of four can easily have a great meal for less than $75.

The owner is Jay who is always there with a smile and a story.

Sandi Point Restaurant in Somers Point NJ

by Bob S
(Ventnor NJ)

Somers point is now blessed with many new and outstanding restaurants aside from the old standbys. Sandi Point was a restaurant we wanted to experience so we chose a week day evening for dinner which was on a Tuesday. Surprisingly the parking lot was full when we arrived around 6:45 P.M. When we entered the bar and tables around were fairly full.

We entered the dining room and were greeted by a friendly waitress when we sat down in a dinning room that seemed full. Our meal consisted of appetizers that were scallops wrapped in bacon, escargot in a pastry shell and a cup of she crab soup all of which were outstanding. For main courses we picked crab cakes, grouper and a dish that consisted of pasta, tomatoes chicken and sizable shrimp and spinach in a cheese sauce. Again, our compliments to the chef.

Our only complaint for the evening was the drinks. Serving bloody mary in a water or scotch glass is a poor way to serve a drink with ice filling the glass. Aside from that it was tasteless and the worst one we have ever had.

But, all in all, a very good experience and would certainly go back again.

Sandi Pointe Coastal Bistro, Somers Point

by Jean Bell
(Ocean City, NJ, USA)

Sandi Pointe, formerly Mac's, offers fine dining in a relaxed seashore atmosphere. What a difference a day (or a month) makes! The new owners have not only changed the name, but made the menu inviting to all tastes and the price-conscious. Delicious food comes out of the kitchen and regular visits to the diners by the entreprenuers and the Executive Chef ensures satisfaction with the most modest of entrees to a full-course meal. I have eaten there several times and was not disappointed. Children are welcomed, but it's the adults who savor the cuisine and its presentation. I highly recommend it; once again, it a favorite spot to enjoy appetizers at the cozy bar and move into the warm and charming dining room.
