Restaurant Review |

Winfield's, a downtown restaurant, located in a 100 year old building, has taken the middle name of F.W. Woolworth, an early 20th century five and dime store, whose company once occupied this building. The decor and atmosphere is attractive with a modern, trendy feeling, with a curved bar and upholstered stools, and a dining area with hard wood flooring and comfortable seating. This is the best fine dining restaurant in the Millville area. The food is well prepared with fresh ingredients, with a good selection of seafood, meat and pasta dishes. When available, for starters try the Crab Martini with Jumbo lump crab meat, Dijon mustard, and sweet Vermouth; or the Classic Caesar Salad with romaine lettuce, homemade croutons, pecorino romano cheese, and roasted garlic Caesar dressing. For dinner entrees, try the Filet Mignon, an 8-oz. grilled filet, with julienne onions, Holland peppers, crimini and portabella mushrooms, Burgundy wine sauce and Gorgonzola cheese; or the Chilean Sea Bass with potato encrusted, lobster sauce. Save room for desserts they are worth the extra calories. They are Open six nights per week, Tuesday through Saturday, 4:30 - 10:00 p.m. and Sunday 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. |
