Restaurant Review

This BYOB restaurant, located in a two storefront space in the Belmar Plaza, opened in the summer of 2007. This restaurant has quickly caught on with many diners who come here for the best Latin Cuisine on the Jersey Shore.

Owner Chef Will Vivas, formerly of the Bistro Ole in Asbury Park, has brought with him many of the creative and well prepared Latin dishes he has become known for.

The interior is attractively done up with soothing color tones. However, the service is spotty, especially during the peak weekend times.

While there are many reason to come to this new restaurant, they do not accept reservations and this makes waiting times and crowd control an unpleasant way to begin you fine dining experience.

However, once seated, you will be in for a treat.

The recommended dishes are: The lentil Salad with poached egg, avocado and endive; The Tuna Vinaigreta with sushi-grade tuna, marinated with sharply seasoned vegetables; andThe Tango Lamb Chops with goat cheese, thyme, and rosemary demi-glace.

Save room for desserts, they are sumptuous. The recommendations are; Crema Catalena, and the Three milks cake.
