Restaurant Review

Veganized is one of the top vegan, organic restaurants in Middlesex County.

Located a block from the Amtrak Train Station, It's very popular with Rutgers students and visitors who love vegan food and come to New Brunswick for it's many entertainment events..

Owned and operated by Executive Chef Ron Biton, he received his formal vegan cooking training at the Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC and later honed his skills at a number of NYC restaurants, before opening Veganized Restaurant in New Brunswick.

Chef Biton presents a well prepared, creative menu using fresh ingredients, made from scratch. The menu is prepared with 100% vegan, 100% natural, and 95% organic ingredients.

The use of cashew and other nut-based cheeses, mushrooms, and vegetable purées results in his dishes being both tasty and colorful.

The restaurant is small and set on two levels. It has a clean look with a casual, funky, hippie ambiance. The counter is downstairs with a seating for four, and the upstairs main dining room has seating for 30. The decorations are funky with colorful murals and plates and walls adorned with portraits.

Wait service is available upstairs, though you have to go downstairs to pay for your meal.

The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Veganized is open 11am - 9:30pm 7 days a week.
