Restaurant Review |
|||||||||||||||
This Red Bank restaurant, several blocks from the downtown area, is a fine dining eatery that serves up fresh, well prepared, and creative presentations of sea food and American fare. Expect an enjoyable New Jersey dining experience with below par decor for the quality of food they serve up. The interior of the restaurant has rooms that do not blend with each other. The bar area is dark wooded, tavern style decor, leftover from the previous owner of Sal's Tavern, with the larger dining room having a brick wall and a wall with a large painted nautical mural, reminiscent of what you would might expect to find at a Jersey shore family seafood eatery.The recommended dinner entrees are; Sushi-Grade Yellow fin Tuna Steak with Japanese soba noodles, stir-fried vegetables, shitake mushrooms, spicy wasabi emulsion; Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with roasted potatoes, shrimp, onions, peppers, corn and mustard remoulade; and Roast Rack of American Lamb with goat’s cheese, whipped potatoes, grilled eggplant, zucchini, balsamic glaze and basil coulis. They offer an exceptional selection of American and international wines.The service is friendly and attentive. |
