New Jersey Leisure guide is the largest single source of complete and impartial New Jersey restaurant reviews.

Unlike other sources that review restaurants on the basis of a single visit by a restaurant critic, or on the basis of restaurant diners, our restaurant ratings and reviews take into account a wider audience and are the result of a compilation of many sources, including restaurant critics and diners who have eaten there. Restaurant Review

The Trinity Restaurant is an ideal place for that out of ordinary, fine dining experience that offers a romantic setting in a restored 130 year old former church with a modern day supper club feel to it.

The restored multi-level church decor was completed under the direction of owner Charles Merla and features a transformed altar where on selected evenings it serves as a stage for live music, and a mezzanine level dining area surrounded by mahogany and wrought iron railings, with rich maroon draperies. The seating is spacious allowing for intimate conversation. The main bar is located under the mezzanine with an additional small bar in the lower chamber.

There is also the bell tower that has been transformed into a private dining area for private parties.

For that special romantic dining experience, ask for a table in the semi-private candlelight, alcove overlooking the altar/stage.

Executive Chef Michael D’Ennery, raised in New Orleans, LA. With a family history of being in the food business, and a Johnson & Wales graduate, has honed his culinary skills at restaurants in Charleston, SC, San Diego, CA, and the Solo Trattoria in Freehold.

His dishes are an innovative integration of ingredients with California and Japanese influences and a commitment to buying fresh local produce. The menu is seasonal, using fresh, organic and local produce when available.

The Trinity restaurant also offers a full wine list with 26 selections by the glass.

When available, the popular starters are; The Clams Catalan with chorizo, spanish peppers, cilantro, white wine and a touch of cream; The Corn Chowder with Jersey fresh corn during the summer; and The Jumbo Lump Crab Cake over local apple/sweet onion slaw and wasabi dijonaise.

When available, the popular dinner entrees are: Seven Spice American Kobe Short Ribs braised in bolgogi sauce, ginger sweet potato puree, roasted spaghetti squash; The Casino Royale shrimp scampi meets clams casino over linguine with applewood bacon, fresh herbs, garlic, chili flakes and butter; and The Gaucho Steak 16 oz grilled flat iron served with chorizo chorreadas and chimmichurri sauce.

Save room for desserts, the extra calories are worth it. When available, try the The Hauser Hill Farms apple ménage à trois -- slices of salted caramel apple, baby apple tart, and Apple Jack slushee; and The Malted Milk chocolate Panna Cotta with a milk chocolate shell topped with whoppers.
