Restaurant Review

This is an elegant restaurant that is more than a restaurant.

It is an opulent venue that serves up well prepared, creative food in a very attractive setting.

It is also popular with middle aged singles who come to meet other singles on Thursday and Friday evenings. On these nights, the social atmosphere is vibrant and sophisticated, with a lively bar scene and a DJ and dancing after 9:30 PM. There is also live jazz entertainment on Saturday evenings.

This is also a very romantic restaurant, where the acoustics are excellent for cozy, intimate dining without having to shout to be heard. It's an ideal place for a couple to celebrate Valentine's Day, an anniversary, or a special occasion with a family or friends.

The owner, Anthony Palmeri, a former opera singer, is witty and gracious and sees to it that every one entering his restaurant is welcomed in grand style.

The entrance is impressive with semicircular driveway passing under a huge white canvas canopy. The lobby is elegant, with dark wood trim, marble flooring, and decorated with lots of floral arrangements.

The two-story dining room is beautifully decorated with soft, pastel tones, soft light, soft-high backed chairs.

While the menu is New American, there are many Northern Italian selections.

For starters, try the Invotini fi Mozzarella con prosciutto with Mozzarella and Prosciutto Wrapped in a poached leaf, grilled and served with Balsamic Vinegar; or the Tuna Tar tare with capers, onions & lemon served with avocado;

For the dinner entree, try the Scaloppine di Vitello alla Griglia, broiled veal chop; or the Sogliola Di Dover Alla Mugnala, Dover Sole sauteed meuniere with Vegetables.

Save home for the home baked desserts, they are sumptuous. Try the Tiramisu with lady fingers soaked in espresso, Marscapone, cocoa powder; or the Classic Creme Brulee of The Moment with flavored custard, caramelized sugar crust, and biscotti.

The service is very attentive, friendly, and well trained.
