Restaurant Review

Anthony David's is a New Jersey fine dining experience and one of the best Italian restaurants in Italian rich Hoboken.

The entrance to the dining area takes you past the deli and refrigerated cheese case and into an area with pressed tin ceilings, barrels of coffee beans, and glass jars of olives. It's a small place with just 34 seats in two rooms with a pleasing casual atmosphere. There is a dining Room with sofa's and a front bistro.

Anthony Pino is a graduate of the top rated culinary Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island and specializes in preparing creative Italian fare with fresh ingredients and good variety .

For an appetizer, try the potato- onion- prosciutto tart. It's unusual and exceptional.

Popular entree favorites include his mother's specialty, French casserole, a simmering crock of white beans studded with rabbit, veal, pheasant with spiced sausage; the lobster risotto, rabbit ravioli, pasta with wild boar, grilled pheasant, or the pan-roasted sea bass.

Check out the baked apple, chocolate ganache cake or lemon panna cotta for desserts.

This is a popular place on weekends, suggest you make a reservation and BYOB.

The Dining Room also serves an excellent weekend brunch.
