Saint Thomas Celebrates 21st Slavonic Festival

On Saturday, April 5th, Saint Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church located at 1407 St. Georges Ave. in Rahway NJ will open its’ doors for the 21st year of fun and festivities.

The ethnic festival will open at 12 noon and run until closing at 11 pm. Food features will include favorites of home made goulash, chicken paprikash, roast pork, pierogi, kielbasa- sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage and haluski. A full dinner will be available, in a restaurant type atmosphere; they will include soup, main course, coffee or tea and dessert.

Picnic foods will be available also, including hamburgers, hot dogs, kielbasa sandwiches, and potato pancakes. There will be many activities including a craft fair, wheels of chance, and several raffles. A large parish money raffle will be drawn at 8 pm and church tours will be conducted throughout the day. For your listening and dancing entertainment we will have live music in the afternoon and evening. The Divine Liturgy will be at 5:30pm.
