Knowledgeable travelers and "high rollers" who appreciate gourmet cuisine and an energetic dining atmosphere have found Specchio to be the perfect place to please their palate. The restaurant's glass-fronted entrance is highlighted by a Dale Chihuly glass sculptured chandelier suspended from the ceiling. The entrance area also contains glass cases with antique hand-held mirrors made by 18th century European and Asian artisans. The dining area is contemporary with two-tiered seating areas. The food at this elegant Italian restaurant can best be described as traditional regional Italian cuisine with innovative classical twists and influences, and preparations and flavors from all the regions of Italy. It is a fine dining experience, in an elegant upscale setting, with well prepared food, although a bit on the pricey side with many entrees above $40. The recommended dinner entrees are; The Fra Diavolo with
spicy tomato, clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp & lobster; Lobster Milanese - Save room for the desserts, they are sumptuous, try the Italian Chocolate Trio - warm chocolate cake, milk chocolate custard with, dark chocolate. The service is professional and friendly. |
